Cooking

In these recent times I have rediscouvered the pleasure of cooking. In fact it has always been one of my hobbies if you call it as such. I started when I was 9, on small things, as I was coming from school and needed to heat up some rice and cook some steaks or so, real simple stuff!Meanwhile and specially during vacation time, over some friend's place, I used my friends as guinea pigs to experiment, and here and there the overall oppinnion was favourable. Hence, I started experimenting more and more. Then when I moved to Lisbon, I had to cook for myself, obviously. Since in the first times, I was living away from the city and with few connections, one of the best moments I had was shopping for, cooking and then eating. Then I continued cooking for myself and friends, even in Brussels where we had a tight budget, and therefore creativity could not be taken to its higher extent. Then when I restarted studying during the nigt, I had absolutely no time to continue cooking and only sporadicly I could do so, and almost all of the times, italian cuisine.Nowadays and kind of having moved, I need (and love) to cook again, and I am quite pleased with the outcome, If I continue doing so, I will for sure try to do it on a more.... hmmm... higher level let's say :pLet's hope it will not ruin my (already) sloppy image.Take care you all, you know where to come to eat now :D

Futebol (or in english, football)

Today I feel like writing about one of my passions: FOOTBALL
I am truly a fan! not a fanatic, but a fan, the one who oves the game, the strategy, the tactics, the technique, I love it. I think it is plastic beauty meets brutal force, plus competition, it is just great.
I love playing it, and I was going to play it tomorrow but my friend from the other team......... quited...damn, so no game tomorrow.
I am a Benfica fan, which nowadays it is terrible, as it hasn't won anything in the past 10 years, one cup or another but too weak.
In Portugal it is quite amazing the amount of time and paper people spend with this magic sport.
We have 3 daily newspapers covering only sport and where 80% of the issue is dedicated to footbal. That's why any rumour is always amplified to its best and sometimes before the parties envolved realize what's happenning, they read it.... Mst of the times, coaches find out they are fired, someother times players find out they were sold or hired to/by other clubs....it is a freaky mess
Let's get back in the game, please, gentleman!!!
As a friend of mine keeps recalling me MONKEY COUNTRY!

Take care,

until next week

Long Time no see!....

Hello world,

In fact, I am a bit disapointed with myself, not ony have I have failed to write somelines regularly evry friday as I intended, but also I expected a bit more commitment on my side.
These past days I have been networking a bit on open bc and it looks quite an outstanding tool. Too bad that I will soon have to pay to have the premium mebership. (for those interested to know more, tell me or go to www.openbc.com).
Meanwhile, I was occupied with some other projects, such as creating an alumni network for former junior entreprenuers in Portugal; then also a projecton an european blog is somewhere being "cooked" up and I would like to contribute as much as I can; school of course takes me a lot of time and traning, I finally had my first professional training and was until some days ago still dealing wit the bureaucrcy.
Adding to all this my personal life is going through some changes as well. So I can tell you I am quite tired.
Soon I will be posting more often and with more interesting content rather then just personal details on my life (even though it is quite stress reliefing)
Lov'ya all, take care

Nuno
